A group from the US Army – Camp Arifjan visited the American Cultural Centre to introduce new members to the ancient history of Kuwait as well as the beginning of American-Kuwaiti relationship through the American Missionary Hospital, which began in 1913 which was established by Americans. The leader of the group stated that: “in the battle of Jahra in Kuwait in 1920, Kuwait defended the American doctors and lost some of their citizens to defend us and this sacrifice is provided only by good, authentic and tolerant people”.

His Excellency Ambassador of Australia Jonathan Gilbert and his guest, Architect Peter Mould from Australia paid a visit to The Amricani Cultural Centre and toured the various exhibitions: Modern Architecture in Kuwait and Splendors of the Ancient East- Antiquities from the al-Sabah Collection. He showed his interest in the galleries as well as the museum.

A delegation of Arab and Chinese experts in the field of libraries and information paid a visit to the Amricani Cultural Centre. They were accompanied by Secretary General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters and the Director General of the National Library of Kuwait Mr. Kamel Abdul Jalil. The delegation includes Deputy Director of the National Library of China and many senior library officials from the Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Arab guests from Morocco, Sudan, Egypt and Algeria.
