Alain George Dr Alain George is the IM Pei Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture at the University of Oxford’s Khalili Research Centre and Wolfson College and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. His research, for which he was awarded a Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2010, encompasses several intersecting themes. Special music night An Evening with Adel Al-Qattan and Friends Adel Al-Qattan is a Kuwaiti musician/guitarist who has been active on the music scene since 2012. He is self taught and has been playing music for almost 20 years with a variety of local and international artists in many different genres. ‘An Evening with Adel Al-Qattan and Friends’ is a showcase of some of the local projects that Adel is most proud to present to the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyahaudience. It includes his bands ‘Kalendi’, ‘Qattana’, as well as a performance of music from his upcoming guitar instrumental album.
