A Music Night entitled “Kuwaiti Tone” performed by Meshal Husein and Kuwaiti Tone. Kuwaiti Tone is a Kuwaiti band that plays traditional music in a modern style by blending traditional Kuwaiti music with western music. Kuwaiti Tone uses both western and middle eastern instruments to share the Kuwaiti culture with the world. The music performed was composed by the musician, singer, composer and music arranger, Meshal Husein. Meshal obtained a master’s degree in Arabic Music, and is currently teaching music in the Higher Institute of Musical Arts.

Brittany Anjou
A Music Night entitled “Enamiǧo Reciprokataj” performed by Brittany Anjou. Brittany Anjou is a composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist. Anjou has performed in award winning jazz ensembles in U.S.A., Europe, and the Middle East. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Jazz and Philosophy at New York University. Anjou has directed, arranged, orchestrated, and composed for many artists including her own ensembles. She is currently in residence as a teaching artist at the Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait.

Yousef Yaseen
A Music Night by Yousef Yaseen. Yousef Yaseen is a Kuwaiti musician and composer. His music is a blend of folk art, jazz, and contemporary music. Yousef plays some Arabic maqamat on a Western guitar, which allows him to deliver Arabic folk art especially Khaleeji music, in a unique way.

Zahed Sultan
Music Night entitled “Revolutionized Kuwaiti Folklore” by Zahed Sultan. Zahed has taken keen interest in traditional pearl-diving music from the Arabian Gulf from a young age. Through Hiwar (Arabic for Dialogue), Zahed focuses on preserving the essence of the culture whilst re-presenting it in a contemporary, evolved way through re-imagining its forms by using audio, video, and dance. Hiwar aimed to spark an inter-generational dialogue through multimedia performance that speaks to today’s youth and engages audiences internationally.

Dr. Bassam al-Buloushi
Oriental Music Night entitled “A Night of Qanun” performed by Dr. Bassam al-Buloushi. Dr. Bassam Al-Buloushi has studied music and learned the piano, oud and Qanun since childhood. He left the medical school in Ireland and majored in music as it is his main passion and joined the Higher Institute of Musical Arts in Kuwait. He graduated with an honor degree.

Syrine Ben Moussa
A Music Night performed by Syrine Ben Moussa. Syrine has obtained a PhD Degree in Musical Science from Sorbonne University. Syrine aimes to share the unique Tunisian art and Andalusian music all over the world. She has participated in several concerts and festivals in both the Meghreb Region and Europe.

Faisal al-Behairi
A classical concert performed by Faisal al-Behairi. Faisal al- Behairi started playing piano at the age 16, and was self-taught for the first 3 years. Thanks to meeting Stefan Kutrzeba , a piano professor from Poland, Faisal started pursuing music at a professional level while studying English Literature at the American University of Kuwait. Ever since, Faisal has won numerous accolades from international piano competitions from Kuwait, Italy, Finland, and Poland.
