The UNDP/DAI creating an exhibition wrapped up today with a visit to the Amricani Cultural Centre. Dr Christian Robin opened the session with a final review of South Arabian inscriptions on rocks and objects. He was followed by Dr Roberto Fabbri (UDEM), who led the participants through the ‘Splendors of the Ancient East’ exhibition. As the group moved through the galleries, Fabbri explained why the objects were presented as they were. The session ended with the presentation of certificates by UNDP Resident Representative Hideko Hadzialic and DAI Director General Sheikha Hussa Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah.

Eminent scholars Dr Christian Robin, Dr Leila Ali Aquil and Dr Sabina Antonini worked with more than 40 participants in today’s UNDP/DAI creating an exhibition workshop. All three scholars are South Arabian specialists, working on an upcoming exhibition for The al-Sabah Collection. Throughout the training course, the scholars will be using their expertise and experience to provide their ‘students’ with practical knowledge of exhibition development.

Ramadani Reception Held at the Amricani Cultural Centre
A pleasant Ramadani reception was held on 20th May, at the Amricani Cultural Centre, by the invitation of the Director-General of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah, Sheikha Hussa Sabah Salem al-Sabah to express a token of appreciation and gratitude to the former Director-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, Eng. Ali Hussain al-Yuha. The event was attended by a host of ambassadors, intellectuals, artists, and cultured friends of Mr.al-Yuha who wished him success in his future endeavours.
