Fabio Di Casola – Clarinet In 1990, at the age of 23, Fabio Di Càsola, from Lugano, Switzerland, won the first prize of the famous CIEM in Geneva. ▪Petya Mihneva is a prize winner of the Duttweiler-Hug Competition for chamber music in Zurich and has won first prize at the “Classical and Contemporary” International Piano Competition in Bulgaria ▪Preslav Petkov is a laureate of International competitions in Bulgaria and abroad.

Kyle Dillingham and Horseshoe Road
DAI in corporation with the US embassy invites you to a music night with Kyle Dillingham and Horseshoe Road. Kyle Dillingham, of Oklahoma City, started playing the violin when he was nine. He later went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in instrumental music performance from Oklahoma City University. Dillingham has taken his music to over 30 countries earning him the title of “Oklahoma’s Musical Ambassador.” Peter Markes served as director of orchestras at Edmond North High School from 2002 to 2017, and in 2014 he was named the Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, representing over 45,000 Oklahoma educators across the state.

“An Evening of Variety” performed by Vera Karner and Maciej Skarbek. Vera Karner is a young clarinetist and chamber musician from Austria. She has given concerts as a soloist with a number of ensembles including the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Varna State Opera and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Stara Zagora State Opera. She won several prizes at national and international music competitions, as well as awards and grants. Maciej Skarbek was born in Poland where he graduated from two music schools. He studied at the University fur Music und darstellende Kundt Vienna . He’s currently doing his Masters Degree in Vienna. He received many international awards and prizes. …

Coming from a family that boasts centuries of art traditions, Dilyana Hristova started playing piano at the age of 5, graduating from the oldest and most renowned musical school in Sofia, Bulgaria. She continued her studies in the Academy of dancing, music and fine arts in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where she studied piano, orchestral conducting and musical pedagogy. After her graduation, she taught at schools and lectured at St. Cyril and Methodius University in Veliko Tărnovo, Bulgaria

With Universal, the album Highball was entirely dedicated to the piano, where also he played at in duo with Stefano Bollani.

Choro (Portuguese pronunciation: “cry” or “lament”), also popularly called chorinho (“little cry” or “little lament”), is an instrumental Brazilian popular music genre which originated in 19th century in Rio de Janeiro. Despite its name, the music often has a fast and happy rhythm. It is characterized by virtuosity, improvisation and subtle modulations, and is full of syncopation and counterpoint. Choro is considered the first characteristically Brazilian genre of urban popular music.
