MAK ” Modern Architecture Kuwait 1949-1989″
The MAK " Modern Architecture Kuwait 1949-1989" exhibition will officially open in the Yarmouk Cultural Centre on Sunday March 20th at 7 PM. This exhibition covers 150 projects dating back to Kuwait in the 1950s. Recently, the MAK exhibition was referenced in the Italian newspaper SOLE. In their issue of September 25, 2016, the article elaborated on modern architecture in the Arabian Gulf countries, including Kuwait, and how the oil-rich countries became pioneers of modern architecture. In addition, the designers of the MAK exhibition Dr. Ricardo Camacho and Dr. Roberto Fabbri were mentioned in the article. Embassy of Japan in Kuwait
In collaboration with the Embassy of Japan, DAI opened a Japanese photography exhibition ranging from landscape to vintage. His Excellency Ashiki Takashi provided a speech in fluent Arabic in front of an audience with the Mayor of Yarmouk present. The exhibition will remain until January 29.

The city of Cordoba, declared a World Heritage Site in 1994, is known worldwide for its Arab-Islamic past. Monuments, such as the Mosque-Cathedral and the Madinat al-Zahra Archaeological site, bear witness to such splendour and are just a few of the outstanding of Arab architecture that have been photographed and put on display at the Dar al-Athar al-Islmiyyah’s Amricani Cultural Centre.
