The Kuwait and Italian flags flutter together above the entrance of the Scuderie Del Quirinale, the museum that hosted the al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from the al-Sabah Collection exhibition in the Italian capital Rome. Representatives from both Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah and the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters invited by their Italian counterparts to the opening reception in an effort to continue to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. Long Ago Zoo: Animals in The al-Sabah Collection
H.E. Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah (DAI) opened Long Ago Zoo: Animals in The al-Sabah Collection, an exhibition curated by children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old - the first in the Middle East and one of a very few ever executed anywhere in the world. This groundbreaking exhibition included more than 100 objects covering the full geography and chronology of the Islamic world.
