Dr. Mansour Aboukhamseen, a specialist in the history of Europe and respected author, gave a lecture on “Foucault and Said: A Shared Approach to Orientalism”.
His lecture focused on the controversy surrounding the subject of Orientalism. One of the most interesting approaches was that of Edward Said, who built his evaluation of Orientalism over Michel Foucault’s reading of the social and intellectual development of Europe in the modern time.
