He is also director of the Mediterranean Cultural Academy (MCA), an unusual study and travel academy promoting academic and cultural travel in the Arab World. Between 2013 – 2016 he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Architecture at the American University of Beirut (AUB). The 2016 “Modern Architecture Kuwait (MAK)” exhibition and book began a dialogue that continues with the MAK II conference and workshop. Scheduled over three days, the event will give attendees the opportunity to participate in discussions, workshops and visit many of the buildings highlighted in the exhibition. In addition, the conference will open with the launch of the second MAK book: Essays, Arguments & Interviews on Modern Architecture Kuwait. The book includes articles from a diverse group of contributors, invited to write essays and arguments that explore the subject from different perspectives.
