“Zeina: The Splendor of the Sultans of India”

To highlight the richness of Indian Islamic civilization and display its beauties, the National Museum, in cooperation with Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah in the State of Kuwait, launched today, Thursday (May 30, 2024 AD), an exhibition entitled “Zeina: The Splendor of the Sultans of India” under the patronage of Her Highness the esteemed Lady Mian bint Shihab Al Said, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Omani Design Society.

The Kuwaiti delegation is headed by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, one of the owners of The al-Sabah Collection (TaSC) and Director of Burgan Bank, and leading the audience from the Friends of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah is Her Excellency Sheikha Sheikha Abdullah Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah, Honorary President of Kuwait’s Disabled Sports Club along with members of the royal family and friends of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah.
The exhibition includes more than (130) unique and distinctive pieces of art from the collection of the late Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Sheikha Hussa Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah from the sisterly State of Kuwait

Restoring our Past, Preserving our Future: Protecting Cultural Heritage at Risk.

The EU Delegation to Kuwait and the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas @aliph_foundation , in collaboration with the National Council for Arts and Letters @kw_nccal and Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyya @dai_kuwait , are proud to present the exhibition “Restoring our past, preserving our future: protecting cultural heritage at risk” at the Yarmouk Cultural Centre.
This exhibition, which will be open until 8 June, showcases ALIPH’s work in protecting and restoring cultural heritage in countries like Palestine, Yemen, Sudan and Ukraine.
The exhibition highlights the importance of preserving cultural heritage, as we mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity on 21 May and the 70th anniversary of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in Armed Conflict.
