Sheikha Hussa al Sabah led a private tour of ‘al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from The Al-Sabah Collection’ for special guests including Mr. Jean-Luc Martinez, President-Director of the Louvre Museum and Mr. Alberto Vial, the Diplomatic Advisor of the President-Director of the Louvre Museum. They also visited the Yarmouk Cultural Centre to see additional objects in The al-Sabah Collection.    

This morning a group of American University of Kuwait( AUK) students visited al-Fann exhibition at Amricani Cultural Centre. They were so engaged in looking for a visual analysis of objects they selected to write about which will be presented to their professor, Dr Yasmeen al-Saleh

United States Ambassador Alina Romanowski visited the Amricani Cultural Centre, viewing all the current exhibitions at Amricani: the al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization, Mirrored Nature: The Full Circle Exhibition, the story of the American Mission Hospital exhibition and Modern Architecture of Kuwait Exhibition. She was accompanied by DAI docent Maha Al-Essa  

Last week when Armenian First Lady Nouneh Sarkissian shared her book with a happy group of children. Mrs Sarkissian, in Kuwait for a short visit, is a celebrated author of children’s books. Based on the discussion that followed the reading, it’s obvious that there was a connection between her and the kids  

Director General Sheikha Hussa Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah received guests from the Civil Culture Forum as part of the Qurain Cultural Festival 26th. They visited current exhibition, al-Fann Arts from the Islamic Civilization, and explored the history behind the Amricani Hospital; the first hospital established in Kuwait    

Sheikha Intisar al-Sabah and a group of her employees paid a visit to the Amricani Cultural Centre. They toured the various exhibitions; al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization, Mirrored Nature, The Story of Amricani, Modern Architecture in Kuwait, and finally Alain Villers and Sons of Sinbad. -glimpses from the visit  

A delegation from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences and the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in cooperation with the Japan Cooperation Center for Petroleum visited The Amricani Cultural Centre. The delegation toured the al-Fann exhibition: Antiques from the al-Sabah Collection and The Story of Amricani    

UN General Assembly President, Mr. Tijjani Muhammad Bande and the accompaning delegation paid a visit to The Amricani Cultural Centre. The delegation toured the al-Fann exhibition: Art from The Islamic Civilization, from the al-Sabah Collection and The Story of Amricani. His Excellency showed an interest in the collection on display and signed the VIP guestbook at the end of his visit  

Dr Gary Tinterow, Director, Museum of Fine Arts Houston paid a visit to the Amricani Cultural Centre. He toured DAI’s latest exhibition “al-Fann Arts from the Islamic Civilizations”
