Work came to a halt today as the entire DAI team gathered to honour Abdulkareem al-Ghadban for his service to the DAI and the State of Kuwait. Sheikha Hussa reminded those present, staff and members of the DAI board, of al-Ghadban’s many accomplishments during the 35 years before today’s retirement. From enthusiastic art instructor to Director to Assistant Undersecretary of the NCCAL, his support for the ethos and efforts of the organization never diminished. He was a mentor, an organizer and a friend and he will be missed. (Until we get him back as a volunteer!)
