Two projects in Beijing that carried the signature of late architect Zaha Hadid were visited by Sheikha Hussa al-Sabah, Rima Shehada, and Salam Kaoukji during their visit to the city on 15th April 2018. They were accompanied by the Director of Zaha Hadid Architects Ltd, Mr. Satoshi Ohashi and the Senior Designer Xuexin Ouan.    

Sheikha Hussa Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, accompanied by a team from Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah and The al-Sabah Collection, is leaving today Beijing, China to attend the opening of an exhibition entitled Splendors of a Royal Collection of Sheikh Hamad bin Abdallah al-Thani. The exhibition will open officially on 16th April and last for three months at the Palace Museum at the Forbidden City in Beijing.   APRIL 11, 2018

Visit of Sheikha Hussa al-Sabah to the rehabilitation project of the Kuwait National Museum and Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah this morning. She was accompanied by Director-General of NCCAL, Mr. Ali al-Yuha and his team of engineers. Mr. Tareq Shuaib, owner of the consulting firm PACE and his team lead the group on a tour in the buildings accompanied by a team from the main contractor of the project the Kuwaiti Director Constructing Company.   March 28, 2018  

H.E Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Defence, and Sheikha Hussa Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Director General of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah, received this morning the President of Turkmenistan, H E Mr. Ghorban Ghuli Berdy Mahmudov, and his accompanying delegation at the American Cultural Centre. They toured the exhibition “Splendors of the Ancient East” . The President at the end of the tour left his signature in the VIP book.   March 14, 2018    

DAI Director-General Sheikha Hussa Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah received the Issam M. Fares Award for Excellence from the Middle East Institute (MEI) at the organisation’s annual dinner this evening. Held in Washington, DC, more than 400 individuals listened as Sheikha Hussa explained the origins and ethos of DAI activities.  The MEI recognized Sheikha Hussa for her  ongoing efforts to educate, entertain and enlighten the community at both the local and global levels. A one day conference was held this morning at Kuwait University and organised by the department of history to celebrate the era of the 12th Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah ( r 1965-1977). Ten papers were presented by professors at Kuwait University covering political, economical, and scientific accomplishments of that era. Sheikha Hussa al-Sabah and Sheikh Dr. Muhammad al-Sabah participated as moderators to two sessions out of three.
