Michel Vrydag is a bassplayer and composer. Besides being active on the Jazz scene, he has also toured and write music with the Louvat Bros. (Folk & World music. They won the 2012 Liz Meyer award for the most innovative European Bluegrass Band) and play rock with Z-Band. He toured with Paul Di’Anno the original singer of the legendary Iron Maiden.

It is a lifestyle that brings up unknown parts of ourselves; faces we don’t usually show. This trio was born in the streets of Boston, MA as an acoustic experiment seeking to forge an intimate connection with the audience. Whether they found Rumba or Rumba found them, Ángel Céspedes, Lito de la Isla and Paul Sefchovich gave birth to a recipe of latin rock, blues, huapango & reggae, that was later baked in old fashioned Boston.…

DAI in association with the Embassy of the Brazil in Kuwait, You’re invited to a special Latin Night “Waves of Brazil” with Yamandú Costa (7-String Guitar) The Brazilian seven-string guitar is an acoustic guitar used primarily in choroand samba. It was introduced to Brazil in the late 19th century as a steel string guitar. The style of “baixaria” counterpoint and accompaniment technique was developed throughout the 20th century, especially by Dino 7 Cordas and Raphael Rabello. In the early 1980s, guitarist Luiz Otavio Braga had a nylon string version made, and this has become the norm for most contemporary choro musicians such as Yamandú Costa.  

DAI in association with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria, You’re invited to “Ramsch & Rosen Quartet” concert Programme: “Extensions”. In the fall of 2016, Ramsch & Rosen (English: Rummage & Roses) fulfilled their wish of expanding their instrumentationby a piano and a bass. This not only coined an “extended version” of Ramsch & Rosen but also created a completely new and expanded world of sound with virtually unlimited possibilities, offering new ways of developing traditional music, improvisation, and composition.  

DAI in cooperation with the Embassy of the Germany You’re invited to a German Music Night titled “Berlin Quartet” performed by Sebastian Schunke. For 15 years, Sebastian Schunke has been an energetic part of the international jazz scene. Schunke is one of the young leading Jazz composers and pianists worldwide, based in Berlin. As a soloist and with his groups he always creates a fresh new sound, unifying the modern Berlin Jazz with African and Latin American elements.  

Music Night with ” Harmony… Japanese Sword and Bamboo Flute” The music of Japan includes a wide array of performers in distinct styles both traditional and modern. The word for music in Japanese is (ongaku), combining the kanji “on” (sound) with the kanji gaku” (enjoy).    

“Ahmad Aljumairi” Music Night! Ahmed Aljumairi is a Bahraini Singer, musician and a composer. He has a long history in the musical field and carries a Bachelorette Degree in Musical Arts from the Higher institute of Music, Cairo in 1977. His songs are very popular in the GCC.

“Jazz” Music Night performed by The Zaid Nasser Jazz Quartet. The Zaid Nasser Jazz Quartet is from New York City. Their music is inspired by the great masters of Jazz – Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie – and the Quartet members learned to play under the guidance of the living legends of Jazz in New York. The Quartet performs songs from the Golden Age of Jazz
