al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from the al-Sabah Collection exhibition in the Italian capital, Rome
The Kuwait and Italian flags flutter together above the entrance of the Scuderie Del Quirinale, the museum that hosted the al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from the al-Sabah Collection exhibition in the Italian capital Rome. Representatives from both Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah and the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters invited by their Italian counterparts to the opening reception in an effort to continue to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries. Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Conference
Professor Halit Erem (far right) is the director general of Research Centre for Islamic History, Art, and Culture (ICICA), which is located in Istanbul, Turkey. The institution is the first subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This weekend, the OIC is hosting a conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Kuwait City.
