During her lecture at the Amricani Cultural Centre, Dr. Yasmine F. M. al-Saleh, author of “In Color, The Art of the Talismanic: A Study of LNS 12 MS and LNS 25 MS from The al-Sabah Collection”, talks about two large, beautiful, and colorful talismanic scrolls that are part of the al-Sabah Collection. These two undated, unpublished Mamluk scrolls display clearly defined and self-contained chapters related to diverse topics, such as the names of God, dispersing magic and protection charms, and reports on various equestrian and military activities.
