These are some impressions captured by Sheikha Hussa al-Sabah during her visit to the exhibition Jerusalem 1000-1400 : Every People Under Heaven which opened recently at the Met museum in New York . This exhibition illuminates the key role the Holy City played in shaping the art of the period between the 11th and 15th centuries. Jerusalem remained a constant source of inspiration that resulted in art of great beauty. It’s the first exhibition that unravel the various cultural traditions and aesthetic stands that enriched the medieval city.
