Lulwa Al Shamlan is a twenty year old Kuwaiti pianist. She began learning the piano early on, at the age of four, and started performing frequently at the age of five. Lulwa has performed in various venues across Europe, the USA, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Lulwa has achieved many prizes in competitions from a young age. She won first place in the International Festival of the Young Performers of Classical Music in Baku, Azerbaijan. She also won first place in the Mid Somerset Festival in Bath, UK, in
addition to the most outstanding pianist prize.
She is currently in her third year of pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Piano at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
