American Folk Songs

“David Hanners: An evening of Americana, roots music from the heartland.” David Hanners is one of the few former oilfield roughnecks who also has a Pulitzer Prize. His songs are a slice of Americana and folk that feature vibrant storytelling.  

Al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from al-Sabah Collection, at the National Museum of Bahrain

The Kingdom of Bahrain is celebrating (Al-Muharraq: Capital of the Islamic Culture 2018). The ceremony started with the Kuwait’s participation in the (Al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization from al-Sabah Collection).

The exhibition was opened yesterday in the National Museum of Bahrain with the presence of H.H Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, the wife of His Majesty king of Bahrain. She toured the exhibition with Sheikha Hussah Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah – Director General of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah. The exhibition was invited to Bahrain by H.E Sheikha Mai bint Muhammad Al-khalifah, president of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
