József Balog, performing at Yarmouk Cultural Centre, in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary, celebrating the centenary of Franz Lizst, is considered one of the most talented pianists of his generation. This exceptionally gifted performer is an heir to the internationally well-known Hungarian piano tradition established by Lizst who gained renown in Europe during the early 19th century for his virtuosic skill. He was said by his contemporaries to have been the most technically advanced pianist of his age, and in the 1840s he was considered to have been the greatest pianist of all time.
