Dr Ziad Rajab is a Tareq Rajab Museum board member, the director of the New English School and the director of a real estate business in Oman. He is a human resource specialist and is involved in the arts through media such as book binding, illumination, portraiture, oil painting and pottery as well as being an accomplished flautist. In addition to speaking at the DAI, he has presented at the Louvre Abu Dhabi Talking Art Series and associations in the United Kingdom and Kuwait.

Jehan Rajab was heavily involved in the museum established by her husband, Tareq Rajab and was the driving force behind the accumulation and curating of various museum collections. She conducted much research into these various collections producing, along the way, published books and articles. For the purpose of her research, Jehan travelled to many countries and met and spent time with people involved in traditional crafts. She researched and wrote on topics as broad as “Costumes of the Arab World” to more specific topics such as Ottoman Towels. This talk outlines her contributions by focusing on various items and artefacts from the Tareq Rajab Museum collections of textiles and jewellery.
