United Nations Development Programme Administrator, Ms. Helen Clark, and members of her delegation visited the Amricani Cultural Centre and toured Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah’s exhibitions. She became the Administrator of the UNDP in April 2009, and is the first woman to lead the organization. She is also the Chair of the United Nations Development Group, a committee consisting of all the heads of all the UN funds, programmes and departments working on development issues. Prior to her appointment with the UNDP, she served for nine years as the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
