Prof. Magdi Yacoub – the world-renowned heart surgeon and Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London and Founder and Director of Research at the Harefield Heart Science Centre – visited the Amricani Cultural Centre and toured DAI’s exhibitions: Splendors of the Ancient East, Loans from the Kuwait National Museum and Long Ago Zoo. He was joined by Dr. Farida al-Habeeb (Kuwait), Dr. Jassim al-Suwaid (Qatar), Dr. Kholoud al-Shafai (Qatar) and Mr. Mark Radford (London). The Visitors toured the three exhibitions currently displayed at Amricani as well as the history of the Amricani Cultural Centre building, formerly the American Mission Hospital – the first hospital in Kuwait. The distinguished guest concluded his visit by signing the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah guestbook.
