Fusion of old Iranian songs with jazz and Spanish guitar during ‘Persian Music Night’ with Arshan Rahimi, Ahmed Saied, Ahmed Shawki and Farhad Hashmi, at the Amricani Cultural Centre.
Arshan Rahimi is a musician that combines traditional and modern genres of music using instruments like the Ney, an Iranian flute, or by singing in the traditional Ava’az style. Ahmed Saied has a master’s degree in music and is a composer that has collaborated with many Egyptian and Arab singers as a pianist and keyboardist. Ahmed Shawky is a bass and classical guitartist who has played with some of the biggest musicians in Egypt. And Farhad Hashemi is a classic and electrical guitarist who has been playing since 1998.
