Her Royal Highness Princess Pooyam Tirunal Gouri Parvathi Bayi – from the Travancore Royal family in the Indian State of Kerala – visited the Amricani Cultural Centre and toured DAI’s exhibitions: Splendors of the Ancient East, Loans from the Kuwait National Museum and Long Ago Zoo.
Her family has ruled for over 1200 years and has modernized their kingdom by setting up educational institutions, medical universities, the Trivandrum zoo, a space observatory, public health insurance and a debt relief scheme for farmers.
