Professor Makram Abbes is an Arabic studies and philosophy professor at the Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon. He is a member of several professional organizations and is involved in many academic conferences and missions, most recently “Orientalism versus Occidentalism”, a conference of Edward Said.
